We Believe

We Believe

What exactly is it that St. Timothy Presbyterian believes as a church?

We are members of the PC(USA) denomination and as such are reformed in many of our beliefs. You could spend the rest of your life searching the internet and asking people exactly what that means. So we’ll share some our own highlight reel of what reformed means at St. Timothy.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and died on the cross for our salvation. He descended into hell and on the third day he rose from the dead.

We believe that the Bible is the word of God and has authority over our lives.

We believe that the chief end of man is to glorify God and to enjoy God forever.

We believe that humans get it wrong and are called to confess and repent.

We believe in the Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, three in one.

We believe that we are saved by grace alone.

We believe in the ministry of stewardship.

We believe in loving the Lord our God and our neighbor.
